Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm (PT)

About

REGISTRATION NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT
Just show up and bring your hardware to be smashed!

Are you starting your spring cleaning early and don't know what to do with your outdated, no longer functioning computer hardware? Worried that your identity will be in jeopardy if you eCycle?

Bring your drive to the MakerLab (AM101) from 2-4 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 27th, and have it smashed!

Students from our CIS classes and the +STEAM Club will disassemble your computer and smash your hard drive using machines developed by PCC Sylvania Engineering and Machine Manufacturing students!  A large hole will be bored through the hard drives to ensure no one can access any existing information.

Come join the excitement!  After the event, all computer hardware will be responsibly recycled.
