Volunteer with Write Around Portland!

Volunteers play an incredibly important role at Write Around Portland, supporting every aspect of our work including delivering our healing creative writing programs firsthand. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and ages (including youth under 16 with guardian support) who want to support our programming and are aligned with our values.

Register to attend a Volunteer Orientation and gain access to all kinds of volunteer opportunities including: anthology production, community readings, office support, community outreach and events, workshop support (such as scribing for participants who have trouble holding a pen), and writing group facilitation.

How do I register? First, fill out our Volunteer Application. Then, attend an Info Session (we’ll be in touch to schedule after we receive your application)

Questions? Check our our Volunteer Opportunities webpage, reach out to Volunteer Coordinator Maya mfriedman@writearound.edu, or call our office at 503-796-9224. We look forward to writing with you!
