We are Children’s Cancer Association, an organization dedicated to children’s emotional wellness. Since 1995, we have led the way in supporting the emotional well-being of kids facing significant medical journeys. Our dedicated team brings joy to seriously ill children through free JoyRx Music, Mentorship, and Nature experiences.
We see every interaction as a way to meet children and families where they are — whether it's an invitation to explore, to engage, or to find a moment of peace. Because when sick kids can be kids rather than just patients, their moods brighten. Anxiety and loneliness fade. Feelings of pain decrease.

JoyRx Music
At JoyRx Music, we know the universal power of music to help hospitalized children feel better. Our trained musicians empower kids to find their joy through curated, child-centered musical experiences that best suit their current emotional state, desired mood, and engagement level.
JoyRx Nature
JoyRx Nature provides an essential connection to the natural world. Nestled in 24 acres of surrounding woods with plentiful wildlife and a serene lake, JoyRx Nature’s Alexandra Ellis Caring Cabin at the Oregon Coast provides children in treatment and their extended families with a place of peace in a calming environment.
JoyRx Mentorship
JoyRx Mentorship fosters trusted companionship to inspire connection and belonging. The only program of its kind in the nation, our trained, adult volunteer JoyRx Mentors provide emotional support to children in treatment and to parents who endure the hardships of extended hospital stays with their child.
