Milk Crate Kitchen

Milk Crate Kitchen is a chef- and BIPOC-led 501(c)3 grassroots nonprofit serving in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties. We glean, we cook, we deliver, and provide pickup of cost-free meals to those in need. No cost, no questions asked.

Milk Crate Kitchen is a community-based organization that is helping to fight food insecurity in the greater Portland area while minimizing food waste. Our mission is overcoming barriers to food security by cooking and delivering nutrient-dense, cost-free meals to those in need, no questions asked. We rescue food surplus from farmers, food growers, restaurants, and food hubs and utilize those ingredients to create meals. We serve individuals and families who are unemployed, low-income, children and adults with disabilities, elderly, and more.
