Community Engagement Project Grants

Does your course include a community-based learning project or assignment that could benefit from additional funding?

The Office of Civic Leadership Development is offering grants up to $500 to support curricular-based community engagement activities.

Funding amounts will vary based on project needs. Examples:

  • transportation (CLD cannot provide drivers. If requesting transportation funding, faculty must be or provide a PCC approved driver)
  • service fees (doesn't typically include speaker fees, honorariums, or conference related expenses)
  • project supplies
  • onsite incidentals (does not include food/drinks)

In addition to funding, grant recipients may also receive support from:

  • Civic Leadership Student Organizers
    • Collaborating with stakeholders
    • Project logistics & onsite day of to help with event management
    • Facilitating pre and/or post reflection and discussion with students about social change/impacts
  • Faculty Mentorship from Community-Based Learning Faculty Coordinators
    • CBL curriculum development

After submitting your response, you will be contacted by the Office of Civic Leadership to determine eligibility and feasibility of funding for curricular based community engagement activities.
