Christopher Pierce is a writer and student of history who completed his AAOT and A.S. with a 4.0 GPA at PCC. He is currently enrolled in the Dual Partnership Program between PCC and OSU, pursuing a double degree in Creative Writing and History. His writing is inspired by the natural world and a belief that the choices we make now shape the future. He is currently at work on three projects. The first is a near-future novel about ecological collapse called The Great Abscission. The second is environmental nonfiction on plastic waste and industry reform. The third is a collection of historical fiction short stories blending Oregon history with supernatural speculative fiction. His literary interests range from George R. R. Martin and Joe Abercrombie to George Orwell and Howard Zinn. When he is not writing or studying, he enjoys biking, hiking, photography, and spending time with his family.
