We are seeking Camp HOPE Volunteers for Summer 2024! Join us to help build resilience and hope for youth impacted by family violence.

Camp HOPE America – Oregon is a partnership between Clackamas Women’s Services and A Safe Place Family Justice Center. Camp HOPE aims to break the cycle of family violence by providing a values-based camping and mentoring experience. Our trauma-informed approach empowers youth to believe in themselves, in others, and in their dreams.

Volunteers could serve as a Camp Counselor (ages 17 – 25), HOPE Leader (18+) or Medical Professionals. 

Camp HOPE volunteers:

• Gain valuable training on the impacts of trauma, building resiliency, and tools for supporting youth
• Act as positive role models for campers
• Help celebrate camper achievements
• Assist with preparations for daily activities (HOPE Leaders) and help us keep everyone safe (Medical Volunteers)

Important Dates:

• Camp HOPE Volunteer Training: Saturday, May 11^th and May 12^th OR Tuesday, May 22^nd
• Camper / Caregiver Weekend (ages 7 – 9): Friday, May 17^th – Sunday, May 19^th
• Leadership Retreat: Friday, June 21^st – Sunday, June 23^rd
• Classic Camp (ages 9 – 12): Monday, July 1^st – Friday, July 5^th
• High Adventure Camp (ages 12 – 16): Monday, July 8^th – Friday, July 12^th  
• Intermittent Pathway Program Events: August 2024 to March 2025
